WayUp Sacramento
WayUp Sacramento is a comprehensive community-building initiative that supports the health, welfare and sustainable prosperity for children and families in Sacramento, California’s Oak Park neighborhood. WayUp’s multi-faceted approach to community building integrates five strategies supporting the different layers of the social-ecological model. WayUp’s programs focus on education, health and health access, housing, employment and nutrition.
The program has three primary initiatives to advance community change in Oak Park: workforce development through the MedZone, academic enrichment through Oak Park Smart, and social entrepreneurship and health and well-being through the Urban Agriculture Center.
